Coming at the perfect time!

I read this book in the time that I needed to read this book. God just perfectly aligned every chapter with every moment that I was going through. I thought I was reading the book but the book was actually reading me! I was searching my heart, it was bringing alive to those dangerous prayers inside of me and challenging me to believe God for the impossible. It woke up dormant dreams inside of me, realizing that I had been playing it safe and that I could believe God for so much more than what I was believing Him for.

At the end of every chapter I would cry, I would pray, I would laugh but I would always be in this place of aw with the Lord of knowing. Saying to the Lord “can you do this very same thing with me?” Can I believe you for the more?” This book talks about so many amazing things, you see a beautiful demonstration of what it is to live a life for the Lord in obedience. The faith that is in this book will…

The faith that is in this book will surely outdo any other faith that you might have had before. It really challenged me to believe God. Every time I read that book I was filled with faith, my prayers, my life. I would put the book down but I would quickly pick it up just to remember certain words in the book that would stick with me. The stories would replay in my mind. I felt like I could do anything because I knew I had a God that was able and capable of doing anything, and that's exactly how I felt reading this book. I loved the book!!! I felt so strengthened, so hopeful, I left full of so much hope.  As I was reading this book and reading the chapters, I would be led in the place of prayer to pray the way that I would pray with a hopeful heart; with a faithful heart; with a life dedicated to obedience.

I believe I'm living in the outcome of that now. God has restored many things. God has built up many things. God has helped heal many things and has refreshed that faithful heart that I've always had, that I didn't even realize was slowly dying. This book is loud and in your face about what it means to serve God, to be obedient God; to hear God; to not doubt God and it would leave anybody in full of hope and full of faith in what God could do.  I love this book!!! I would read it probably once a year just to constantly remind me that God is faithful and to not give up and to walk in obedience and where the Lord calls you there's provision because there's always provision and obedience. This Book holds up to it’s name Won't He Do It and the answer is yes he will!!! Again and again and again and again He's the same today, tomorrow and yesterday. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob He's a covenant keeping God and He's faithful to his word and he's faithful to his children and he's a faithful father.

An Editor’s Five-Star Book Review of ‘Won’t He Do It’

From the subtitle of the book (“Faith, Love, and Miracles”), I expected to be taken on a Christian overcomer’s journey where trials and obstacles ultimately yield to triumph and success in the lives of the Barker family. That expectation is exceeded in Won’t He Do It! This fast-paced story traversing five continents traces through the life, ministry, and 27-year marriage of Sherry and Paul: years filled with blessings, Christian fellowship, and the joys of family—accompanied by daily challenges, personal growth struggles, and a final medical tragedy. The story artfully threads early life events from Sherri and Paul and details of the family’s “lived life” into a corporate tapestry only God could weave, stepping each toward their individual destiny and Paul to his culminating work for the Kingdom—the Living Words bible-based ESL curriculum. The overarching theme of this family tale is, “God is faithful, kind, and enough.”

A Five-Star Book Review of Won’t He Do It
A Journey of Faith, Love, and Miracles:
A Witness of God’s Transformative Power in Ordinary Lives

Jumping in to read this well-written, wisdom-packed book, the reader embarks upon an escorted journey most can easily identify with—dealing with the ups and downs of life and the range of emotions that accompany them. Through the eyes of Sherri, this story especially highlights how faith and trust in God is the critical ingredient that carried the family through both the heights of joyous times as well as the depthsof heart-breaking times. Through the difficult times, the redeeming thread of character transformation robs what could be considered defeat—even the defeat of death—of its victory. A principal feature of the book, and an important part of the family tapestry, is the theme of victory and Christian character formation. Threaded forcefully throughout the story is Sherry’s thankfulness for God’s provision and guidance and her faith-informed commentary on how God uses all circumstances to optimally shape and equip his people.

Are you struggling under discouraging circumstances and want to be nourished by an encouraging story of an overcoming family? Are you just starting out—or want to make a fresh start—and long to see how God can lead you in building a successful life, no matter what is thrown your way? Are you trying to find God’s will for your life—your destiny—and need an example? Are you standing for family members to come to God or make a more firm commitment to following Christ? Then Won’t He Do It will encourage your heart. By picking up the book, you will quickly identify with the Barkers and experience the pain and joy of their trials; you will also soon realize your life contains many similarities, and you can apply the same faith and wisdom and receive God’s help in your own life.

I highly recommend Sherry Barker’s book Won’t He Do It to anyone who enjoys an insightful story that details how God leads his people to triumph over every obstacle life places in their path. Through one riveting tale after another, this book pairs the barriers and hurdles that confronted the Barkers with the solutions and strategies God was always faithful to deliver to accomplish His divine purpose in their lives.
